Wander Alone

I found myself in a really scary place. It was like I'd stepped into a stranger's house and someone switched off the lights. The path my friends took seemed so neatly paved and smelt of such homely things, like fairy bread and fresh bedding. But I'd stepped into this dark, scary place.

I was looking for my dream. Things bumped and cut me as I felt my way around. But through the days of delirious victories, drawing things from my tears and heady confusion, I knew this uncertain path was mine to take.

"Wander Alone" is the story of this choice, a choice that I've learn't over time that almost everyone has to make at some point. It's also the first song on the CD, a CD that is essentially about the very idea of finding your place amongst the turbulence of love, insecurities and modern day life.

Lyrics

Life has a manual
You can get it online now
I work from the angle
I’ve been trapped at home and now I’m going out
Cause I’ve seen nothing but these walls forever
It makes a step outside seem so much harder

And the world its getting stronger
Pulling me to home
I know I can fight it and make it on my own
I know I can fight it and make it all alone

Cause I breathe when you breathe
You’re the traffic lights I follow, you’re like a directory
Through road rage and wide streets
You’d take me home but now I’m going out
I love you, it makes it so much harder
To leave you, but crowds they travel faster

And the world its getting stronger
Pulling me to home
I know I can fight it and make it on my own
I know I can fight it and make it all alone
I know I can fight it, fight it, fight it
I know I can fight it, fight it

I love you, it makes it so much harder
To leave you, but crowds they travel faster
And the world its getting stronger
Pulling me to home
I know I can fight it and make it on my own
I know I can fight it and make it all alone
I know I can fight it, fight it, fight it
I know I can fight it, fight it, fight it
I know I can fight it, fight it, fight it
I know I can fight it, fight it
