Dam Good Friend

Saturday, September 21st, 2013 -

Cause you’re totally frustrating, you never get things done
You always make excuses and their not even good ones
We should fully cut it off- never speak again
But I’m totally devoted, I’m such a dam good friend
Such a dam good friend

I’ll stay online for ages, I’ll think what I should say
You probably barely read it but I’ll write it anyway
You log off conversations when I’m just about to send
You’re lucky I still bother I’m such a dam good friend
Such a dam good friend

I’ll call the phone it disconnects, I’ll even try and send you txts
It takes a week to even get in touch enough for us to set
A place and a date but you’ll show up late in the end
And I’ll just sit and I’ll just wait cause I’m such a dam good friend
Such a dam good friend

We’ll find a place and order drinks, you always get that one that stinks
I always laugh and ask you why then you always let me have a try
You won’t get through that single glass even though we’ll spend
Half the day in the bar acting like we’re dam good friends
Dam good friends

Cause you’re totally frustrating, you never get things done
You always make excuses and their not even good ones
We should fully cut it off- never speak again
But I’m totally devoted, I’m such a dam good friend

We should fully cut it off- never speak again
But man, I think I love you, you’re just the best dam friend

Mum’s Song

Saturday, September 21st, 2013 -

Mum you’ve known me for oh so long
Since I stumbled on my very first words
You helped me trade diapers for shirts
And shirts for suits
You never let me down
Know I’m older but I’ll still come back
You’re my mother and I know you now
You told me so

Do you see yourself in me?
Did the seasons make a change?
Do you carry me with you in this life?
Are we blending in?
Are we fading away?
Is this us growing up?
Until the day the questions stop

Mum my hands are bigger than yours
And time moves a half tick slower
You taught me to walk in your shoes
And now they fit
You never let me down
Know I’m older but I’ll still come back
You’re my mother and I know you now
You told me so

Do you see yourself in me?
Did the seasons make a change?
Do you carry me with you in this life?
Are we blending in?
Are we fading away?
Is this us growing up?
Until the day the questions stop

Do you see yourself in me?
Did the seasons make a change?
Do you carry me with you in this life?
Are we blending in?
Are we fading away?
Is this us growing up?
Until the day the questions stop
Until the day the questions stop

Watching You Breathe

Saturday, September 21st, 2013 -

I’m stuck on your smile
That little one that you leave when you fall asleep
And I could lie on your heart
In the plains of the warmth of the sweet ticking beats

Just watching you breathe oh
Watching you breathe oh
Watching you breathe

Cause I’m along for the ride
Tiny waves as you drink up the air from the room
And I could close my eyes
And still see you there dunked in the light of the moon

Just watching you breathe oh
Watching you breathe oh
Just watching you breathe
